|Development of the mining site and its valorisation at the patrimonial level. This site includes a technical part of underground excavations and an environment and prevention part outside.
Hung on the banks of the torrent of Fournel, the mining establishment was built in the XIXth century for the exploitation of a deposit of argentiferous lead which was the object of a prosperous exploitation already in the Middle Ages.
Since 1992, the site is the object of archaeological excavations and workcamps to rehabilitate and value these industrial heritage.
Workcamp : Underground: Stabilize the alluvium. To this end, a solid dry stone wall will be built 1-2 m from the alluvium and the remaining space filled with modern draining mineral spoils.
Outdoors: Purge pebbles that have accumulated behind safety nets. Small masonry work to stabilize the ruined walls and to create traffic areas.
Accommodation : in marabout tent with real beds. Food logistics provided by the International Emergency Action with two people including a cook.
Leisure : 3 days a week are dedicated to leisure activities (tourism, museums, walks, sports like canyoning ...)
